About Me
As a massage therapist, my goal is to provide a therapeutic and professional massage personalized to meet the needs expressed by my clients. I have grown my art specifically for the well being of those I work with, and take every appointment as an opportunity to learn and grow my craft based on their personal results. I am not a practitioner who believes that more pressure is always the answer, preferring to work on an edge of comfortable discomfort. Over my many years of service I have witnessed that when we are guarding, we are taken out of our parasympathetic nervous system and are unable to take in these healing techniques.
Alignment and posture are crucial to my practice. I have several certifications; in Sports massage, myofacsial techniques, Yoga Training, and Thai massage; which involves stretching and positioning the body to help optimize muscle relaxation. I target the areas that are causing tension. I focus on the opposing and supporting muscles to help solve the cause of the problem, not just alleviate pain. I have worked with a range of athletes and movers galore; From Dancers, Rugby players, Barre, Disc Golfers, Weight Lifters, Power Lifters, MMA Fighters, Gardeners, Yogi’s / Yogini’s, weekend warriors, OCR’s and more.
I have invested a significant portion of my time understanding my own body and how I move to best relate to the pains and stresses that my clients are faced with. Being an advocate for the power of movement is a sincere and deep passion of mine which I extend to all of my clients. Creating aftercare techniques and stretches that can be incorporated with ease into peoples routines without forcing a subscription of lifestyle change. We all enjoy our time differently, with my aftercare recommendations I offer alternative body positioning and movements that are conducive to make your life as pain-free and comfortable as possible, no matter the task at hand.
Allow my healing hands to restore your body, so it can function at its optimal performance. No matter the task.
